Build Springfield
Purpose
Build Springfield is a collaboration of local citizens to encourage infrastructure investment into our community. Investing in infrastructure will improve the quality of life for our citizens and increase public safety.
The need is real. Our streets and sidewalks are falling apart. It has been almost 80 years since Springfield had a large scale public works program. We are on the cusp of real problems that must be addressed immediately. Springfield needs to invest in our infrastructure to maintain a good quality of life for our citizens and to keep our streets and sidewalks safe for our families.
A strong infrastructure program helps our economy. A comprehensive plan to improve infrastructure is an integral part to our economic development success rate. Businesses want to invest in communities that invest in themselves with a strong infrastructure program. Improving our infrastructure improves our chances to attract jobs to our community. An infrastructure program will also create jobs in our community to build our roads and sidewalks.
The time to act is now.
